Alan Slutsky
For me, being a mentor allows me to give someone the benefit of my experience. What good is it to perfect a craft and not be able to pass it along for others to use?

On another note, the best benefit is when someone thanks you for making their life a little better, a little easier, etc. The gift received from helping someone is 10 times greater than the gift given out.

Since we already have such a diverse group here I am curious to hear what each of you think. Why do you want to be a mentor? What are the benefits that you receive from being a mentor? What are the challenges you face in acting as a Mentor?

Being a Mentor, there is a very special bond that occurs between my Mentees and I. And at times it can be trying, but when my Mentees succeed, it makes it all worth it.
